Want AI Certification? Anthropic’s Claude Courses Are Now Free

Anthropic has launched Anthropic Academy, a new training platform offering free online AI courses focused on helping users make better use of its Claude AI models. As the company continues to roll out workplace-focused tools and automation features, it aims to simplify adoption by equipping students, professionals, and developers with practical skills. The initiative is designed to improve productivity and ensure users can effectively integrate Claude into their everyday tasks.

The courses are hosted on Skilljar, with additional availability via Coursera. After completing a course, users receive an official certification. Notably, learners do not need a paid Claude subscription to enrol or finish any of the programmes.

Three Learning Tracks for All Skill Levels

Anthropic Academy is organised into three primary tracks: AI Fluency, Product Training, and Developer Deep-Dives. The beginner-friendly “Claude 101” course introduces everyday use cases and core features of Claude. The AI Fluency Framework & Foundations programme focuses on safe and effective AI collaboration, while specialised tracks, including AI Fluency for Educators, Students, and Nonprofits, tailor AI usage to classrooms, academic workflows, and mission-driven organisations.

For technical users, the Academy offers deeper modules such as “Building with the Claude API,” which teaches developers how to integrate Anthropic’s models into applications. The “Introduction to Model Context Protocol (MCP)” covers building MCP servers and connecting Claude to external tools, with advanced modules for further expertise. Additional courses like “Introduction to Agent Skills” focus on creating reusable AI workflows. Cloud-based integrations are also covered, including Claude with Amazon Bedrock and Claude with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, helping enterprises deploy AI at scale.

Certification and How to Enrol

Upon completing video lessons, exercises, and quizzes, learners receive a digital certificate that can be downloaded or shared on professional platforms such as LinkedIn to showcase AI literacy. To enrol, users can visit anthropic.skilljar.com, create a free Skilljar account, browse the catalogue, choose their preferred track, and begin learning immediately.
