SAN ANTONIO – An Alamo Colleges police officer is on administrative duty after she was arrested on multiple family violence charges earlier this summer, KSAT Investigates confirmed.
San Antonio police confirmed officers arrested Kimberly Ann Villarreal, 31, in July 2026.
Records show police responded around 7:45 a.m. to a home in the 3000 block of West Houston Street after someone reported that Villarreal and another person “got into a verbal argument that turned physical.”
The victim suffered minor injuries, police said.
Villarreal is charged with unlawful restraint and assault causing bodily injury of a family member, which are misdemeanors.
Court records show she is set to be arraigned in December 2026.
Villarreal began working as a police officer for the Alamo Colleges Police Department in May 2018, according to records from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
In 2024, the Alamo Colleges Police Department recognized her as employee of the week.
Villarreal still works for the Alamo Colleges District and is on administrative duty, Mario Muñiz, director of strategic communications for Alamo Colleges District, confirmed to KSAT Investigates in an email on Tuesday.
