What Is How to Get to Heaven from Belfast About?
How to Get to Heaven from Belfast revolves around three long-time friends. Saoirse is a clever TV writer, while Robyn is a glamorous but overwhelmed mother of three. Finally, Dara is a dependable carer. The three reunite after receiving unexpected news about the death of their estranged fourth friend, Greta.
What starts as a somber trip to the wake turns into a bizarre mystery when the women notice odd details about the funeral. Before long, they begin to suspect that something doesn’t add up. As they dig deeper, they unearth old secrets and inconsistencies about Greta’s life and death.
The story quickly morphs into a wild road-trip thriller that spans Ireland. It challenges the characters’ memories of the past, forcing them to confront dangerous situations.
The humour is dark, the cast is excellent, and the mystery engaging. Even if you’re tired of whodunits, there’s a good chance you’ll find something here to love.
By the end of the first season, the truth about what really happened to Greta is revealed. No spoilers, but there’s also a small cliffhanger meant to set up a possible How to Get to Heaven from Belfast season 2.
We’re crossing our fingers, hoping the trio will get to investigate more cases soon.
